Birthdays the annual celebration of your first day on earth.

A reminder of the time that passes by

A checkpoint of moments that builds to the person you are today.

At this celebration the people that are beside you are the result of moments in the past year or more.

The highs and lows, they are still here..... you are still here.

This unpromised time blessed by God,

so you can inspire those around you and make the world a better place.

So use this time to celebrate your achievements, embrace and learn from your mistakes, and love yourself and your company. - Dandelion

I wrote this poem in November for my grandma's birthday, but I am now posting it on my little sister 6th birthday. Anyway, writing this poem i really wanted to portray the importance and specialness of a birthday. In real life i want people to be on cloud 9 on their birthday because again nothing is promised which makes me feel inclined to make that person happy and joyous no matter what. If its your birthday knows that you in this moment are special now and forever and I'm grateful that your reading this and God has given you another year!

Ecclesiastes 11:8 (kjv) "But if a man live many years, and rejoice in them all; yet let him remember the days of darkness; for they shall be many, All cometh is vanity."

So in hindsight celebrate and the bad and dark things won't seem so bad.

Hi, fellow Weirdo.

My name is Just Arie. I am a lover of art, I love the simplicity of poems; so little diction but is so powerful.
