Ocean's Gifts

The Ocean is a very generous being.

To show its generosity; it provides us with delectable fish with a spectrum of colors that is part of its beautiful biome. As we sail its grand body, we are mesmerized by the beautiful creatures that breaches the surface. To top that, the ocean gives small unique gifts from the ridges to the smooth surfaces to remind us of each visit.

Yet return we are rapacious with the fish which all have a niche, and we give destructive gifts like toxic waste and plastic. Which ruins the beautiful biome we said we "loved." We hunt and steal the beautiful that were meant to breach surface and now are stuck between two sheets of glass for our convivence.

Now our beloved Ocean is tense and protective, and instead of small unique gifts we are sent reminders of our wrongs towards it. Global warming, plastic. toxic waste, oils spill. ocean fires, all that could've been controlled in the first place, we should've sent gifts that would make us mutual instead of parasitic.
